The entire value of Kultivia depends on employees feeling safe enough to be honest. If you are not genuinely anonymous, you will not tell the truth — and if you do not tell the truth, the data is worthless.
This page explains exactly what we do — and do not do — to protect your identity. These are not marketing promises. They are technical and operational commitments built into how the platform works.
Your name is never stored with your submission
After your identity is verified, we immediately separate your personal information from your submission. The submission is stored on its own. There is no link in our database between your name and what you wrote.
Your employer cannot see that you submitted
Employers who subscribe to Kultivia can see aggregated culture scores and anonymized submission patterns for their company. They cannot see who submitted, when individual submissions were made, or access any information that could identify a submitter.
We will never identify you in connection with a removed post
If a submission is removed for violating our content guidelines, we will never publicly state or imply who submitted it. Any internal review of a removed submission is handled entirely within Kultivia and never shared externally.
Verification data is deleted after confirmation
The information you use to verify your employment — such as a LinkedIn connection or a masked recruiter email — is used solely to confirm your eligibility to submit. Once verification is complete, that data is discarded and not retained.
You can request full deletion at any time
You can request that your submission be removed from the platform at any time by contacting us. If you delete your account, all data associated with your account is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
Creating a Kultivia account and verifying your employment are completely separate steps. When you sign in with LinkedIn we only use it to create your account. When you submit a culture rating we use LinkedIn again specifically to confirm your employment history at that company. These are two distinct processes and your employer cannot see either one.
Does signing in with LinkedIn tell my employer I am using Kultivia?
No. LinkedIn sign in works like any other social login — your employer has zero visibility into which apps or platforms you connect to your LinkedIn account. LinkedIn does not notify anyone when you use your account to sign into a third-party service.
We protect your identity from everyone — including your employer. However, if your submission contains details so specific that only one or two people could have known them, a reader who works at that company might be able to make an informed guess. We strongly recommend writing about patterns and culture rather than specific incidents involving named or identifiable people. This protects you and complies with our Content Guidelines.
